Hi!
Estonian school was next in sending us their memories from Amberg. Have a pleasant reading.

I had been looking forward for
the Comenius trip to Germany and when I arrived in Amberg trainstation,
it was hard to believe that I’m finally here, going to meet my hostfamily, my hostsister Lisa,
with whom I had been talking every day a couple of weeks before Germany. But time went fast and meeting my
hostfamily and their hospitality made this windy and could day when I arrived
very sunny and warm for me. The first day of
the trip, when we visited school was very special because not everybody has
this kind of chance to take part of classes in other country, to watch how school
is organized somewhere else and most of all – we finally saw everybody’s videos
about their country’s history with what they had been working hard. The
next day – day in Nurnberg was amazing because of the weather, people we were
hanging around with and those very interesting museums we visited, I’m usually
not museums person but those visits I really enjoyed, I felt like I actually
got something from those museums –
knowledge and passion to get more about Germany’s history. Sunday,
the day we visited Berlin Wall museum I had been looking forward because this
is one of my favourite topic and this visit was really great! I liked the guide
, how he communicated with us and made us felt like we were still in year 1980.
I have to say that my Comenius
days in Germany were better than I expected!
I enjoyed living between the mountains, waking up in the morning because
of the cruch bells were ringing, breakfast with sunshine while talking with my hostmother about Estonia and
Germany, how we are similar and how not. I loved the rides to home and to the
town, I miss all those amazing German
girls with whom we went shopping, just walking around, eating and spent so much
great time together. I’m really thankful for this amazing opportunity.

My
Comenius days in Germany, Kelli Vassiljev
Our
first day was quite tiring, but when we arrived in train station, we saw our exchange
families. That made us very happy and the all of a sudden tiredness vanished. Everything
was so new and interesting.
On
the second day, Friday, we went to school with our hostsisters. We spent first
three hours with them, and afterwards, we watched all the project videos that
each country had made. All the videos were very interesting and it was great to
see that everyone had done ther best. We also went to the town hall to meet the
mayor of Amberg, who introduced us to their facilities. The daycontinued with
some free time for lunch and shoppin, later we headed to the water park. I
spent the evening with my family and I had a great time getting to know them.
Saturday
started with a nice breakfast with families, after that we took the train to
Nurenbergand went to the Documentary
Museum. After that we had time for lunch and shopping. Later we went to another
museum, which was also very interesting. We went to see the court rooms where
the Nurenberg Processe took place. In the evening I went bowling with my
hostsister and her friends and we all had a wonderful time.
On Sunday we took a two-hour busride
to Mödlareuth, to visit the Berlin Wall musem. It was a guided tour and
probably the most intriguing and interesting experience from the whole trip
because we got to see a village that was seprated by the Berlin Wall. We also
saw a piece of that wall which is somthing we really don’t get to see everyday.
I spent the evening in a Chinese restaurant which is owned by my hostfaily. We
tried many different tasty foods and had a great time together with my
hostsister and friends from Estonia.
Monday
morning was one sad morning that came way too quickly. I had to say good-bye to y lovely hostfamily and
then we headed back home. It was sad to leave but we proised to keep contact
with my family.
Our
trip was great. We learned so many new things about German history and Bavarian
culture. It was wonderful that we were on hostfamilies not hotel because we got
to see the real life and culture. Also oll of the trips and museum visits were
very educating and interesting. I loved my Comenius days in Germany.

My Comenius days in Germany, Liisa Vilumets
It wasn’t my first
time in Germany and i already knew how beautyful the cities and nature in
Germany are, but this time i saw so many new places and i’ve never been to
Amberg and Nürnberg berfore. The best thing about our trip was spending time
with the hostfamilies, because they were so polite, friendly and nice. The sure
did took the politeness to the next level. They also made a traditional german
and bayer food for me, which were so tasty and good. We visited three different
museums about history of Germany and they were very interesting. The last
German-German museum in Mödlareuth was the most interesting for me. I learned
so many new things about the history of Germany and i understood it much
better. All of the ativities we did, were very interesting, like visiting
waterpark, spending time in school and getting to know Amberg. I also think
that every country’s movie was special and very well made. The only thing i
didn’t liked was that we hadn’t much time to get to know the people from other
countries, because we had so few time and there were so many people. I really
liked that trip, i got to know new people, new culture, new facts about history
and i could speak german, which i really enjoyed. It was a great opportunity for
me and i’m extremely glad that i got it.

My
Comenius days, Ksenia Ivanova
On 14th – 18th
MarchI was in Germany with the Comenius project „Our way to freedom“ withother
youngsters from 6 other countries.
Living in host
families was a new experience to me and I enjoyed it very much. My family was
very friendly and caring. Living in families was good for getting to know
German culture and everyday life.
We hang out with
other youngsters every day. On the first day we made a pizza with my host and
her German best friend and her exchange student. On the next day we made a chocolate
fondue with 3 German and 3 Estonian girls. And on one day we went out with a
big group of German hosts and their exchange partners. We went to bowling and café
– it was so nice to hang up with others, too. And also on the last night we ate
in a Chinese restaurant, which I really enjoyed. I made many new friends from
many different countriesand I improved my English skills.
While being in
Germany, we visited two museums, whichgave to me a good review about German
history. The most exciting experiencewas in Mödlareuth, where we saw the
remnants of the Berlin Wall and the place where it once went through.
I really enjoyed the visit to Germany and I will
remember it for a long time.

My Comenius days, Madli-Getter Proode
From March 14’th to 18’th, I was in
Germany with the Comenius project „Our way to freedom“ with participants from 6
other countries. The
trip was a great experience that taught me a lot about our common history,
German culture, traditions and everyday life. While being in Germany, we
visited different museums, which were all very interesting but the most
exciting and once-in-a-lifetime kind of an experience was the Berlin Wall
museum in Mödlareuth. It was great to see a piece of the real Berlin Wall and
see the place where it once went through. In Nuerenberg we went to see two
museums, a documnetary museum and the courtrooms where the actual Nuerenberg
Processe took place. I also really enjoyed watching the videos each country
made. It was cleae that everybody had done a hard work because the videos were
great. Other than visiting museums and
learning about history, a very interesting part of the trip was getting to know
the German culture and everyday life. It was great to stay with a hostfamily
beacuse it gave a real example of what life is like in Germany. My family took
me out for a dinner in a Bavarian restaurant, which I really enjoyed. Overall,
my family was very caring and nice, I had a great experience staying with them. My trip to Germany was
amazing. I learned so much about our common history and German culture, I made
many new friends and I have a farmily that waits for me to go back . It was a
great experience and an unforgetable trip.

My time in
Germany, Linda Vilumets
First day when I
arrived to the Amberg ,then my hostdad and hostsister picked me up and we went
to their home , they were very friendly and nice . Then I met rest of my
hostfamily and and we ate dinner ,which
was so good , like all the food I ate in Germany .Then I chated and watched
movies with my sister and then went to bed. Next day ,I woke up early to go to
school with my sister. First three lessons I spent with my sister and her
classmates.First two lessons were PE and third one was German. After that we
had a little lunch break and then then we watched how every country presented
their videos and after that we had some free time in Amberg, went shopping and
eating. After that we had a reception at the townhall. Later that day we went to
the aqua park and relaxed,it was really nice. Then I got home and ate and spent
time with my hostfamily. Then next day we went to two historical museums in
Nürnberg .And before visiting the second museum we had free time ,so me, my
hostsister and her friends went to a restaurant called Vapiano. They had so good
pasta there. After visiting museums we got back home and again spent time with
my family. Next day we went to another German museum ,what was about Berlin
wall,a little village ,which was once separated by the wall. It was far away so
I got back at the end of the day .And then I went with my hostsisters and
brother to the Burger king and we all ate together. Last day got up early and
headed to the train station, since I already had said goodbye to my hostsister
the night before ,cause she had to go catch a plane early ,then my hostmum sent
me to the train .She was so sweet to me
.And then after a long day we finally
got home .I really enjoyed this trip it was really nice and I met so many
awesome people, and found out how pretty Germany is .
