Hello everyone!
COMENIUS
IN ZAGREB by Marc Jené
In
one word, this Comenius exchange has been awesome.
On
Thursday, I had to wake up at 9, and we spent all the day traveling. First we
took a plane to Brussels, and there we took another to Zagreb. We arrived at
the hostel around 21.30 and we had the dinner. After that, we wanted to walk a
little around the city, and luckily we found Darian and Marin, who guided us.
The
next morning we went to Prva srednja informatička
škola and there we watched all the documentaries and we learned something more
about the totalitarianism periods suffered in the other countries. We had lunch
in a restaurant near the school (this was the first of many soups in Croatia),
where I started meeting some of the other students. We went back to school and we had a little
class and I took a good “siesta”. When I woke up, we went to know the city of
Zagreb, and sincerely, I really liked its amazing parks and buildings.
The next day we did a long trip to Vukovar, where we could see
with our own eyes how terrible the Croatian War of Independence had been. It
was a long day, but with good people, so I had a good time.
On Sunday, we went to
Plitvička jezera. Before arriving on there
we stopped and saw some tanks used in the war. Then, we want to the national
park. I got amazed with that enormous cascades and I fell in love with the
landscape. At night we had a good time with other Comenius' students in the
hostel bar. Next they, unfortunately, we had to wake up at 6, so I was really
tired and a little sad because it was the end of all.
I'm really satisfied of how all the Comenius went and I really
want to thank the Croatian teachers for all their efforts, and for the amazing
Comenius that they organized.
I think that taking part in Our Way To Freedom Comenius has given
me the chance of meeting new people, and I have used it. Most of the students
were really friendly, and I tried to get along with all of them. We met some
Croatian people that helped us to spend a few great days. And we also met some
English crazy people that were really kind with us.
To sum up, Comenius is a great way to meet new people, to improve
English and to learn (or try it) new languages. I'm really satisfied of meeting
the people I have met, and I really hope to keep in touch with them and maybe
see them again. In my opinion, this has been a great exchange and I have
laughed a lot.
My Comenius days in Croatia,
Carles Bernabeu
The days I
spent in Croatia with the Comenius project were amazing. I think all the people
who has taken part of this project has been very kind and friendly. It has been
an experience with which I’ve learned English and History, I’ve met pleasant
people, I’ve had fun ...
Talking
about Croatia, I think Zagreb is a beautiful and interesting city and also the
other places we visited, specially the Plitvice National Parc.
I also
believe that being in a hostel, all together, has benefited the relations
between the people of different countries and it has been positive. I have to
say that the Croatian people who have gone with me in Zagreb have really been
very kind and amusing.
My
conclusion of all the Comenius project is that if you have the opportunity to
do it once: don’t waste it, because you are going to have very good moments
that you wouldn’t have expected at all.

Comenius in Croatia, Marta Sanvicente García
Comenius
and Croatia together are an intense and awesome experience. I have had a very
nice travel. Although the weather have been a little bit bad, I can not think
that the time I have spent there could have been better.
Croatia's
history has a war episode near of currently time. While we were visiting
Vukovar, listening to the historical explications and seeing symbols of the
croatian war of Independence we could to understand that things like that are a
shame. We have a lot to learn of this things. And projects like this one are
usefull to help us to grow up and to do better citizen.
We
slept in a confortable hostel. So, we could stay toghether more time than if we
were had been with a croatian host. Moreover,
we could met other people that were also there. The diversity became
biggest and with it the fun. Meeting new people is what I have enjoyed more.
And I have been laughing too much to be healthy!
Plitivice
Lakes National Park is amazing. I had ever walked arround a so special place
like that.
I
wish I will be able to find out more beautiful and interesting things and
experiences. Learning in this different way is great and more practice, I will
not be able to forget all that I have learned in Croatia.

My Comenius trip to Croatia (by Irene Vidal)
This trip has been perfect, the
people and the country. I think that going to a hostel instead of sleeping in
someone’s house, has been a good idea, because he have talked with people from
every country even with people from Croatia, and all the people were
amazing. Also me and my Spanish partners
have become good friends. My favourite visit was the trip to Plitvice lakes, It
was the most spectacular thing I’ve ever seen. Also I’ve learnt so many things
about Croatia and its history, specially of the independence war, I think that
it was a terrible thing but I like to know about it.
