Hi Guys!
How are you?
Time to new memories of Croatia.
Memories by Patrícia Szécsi
Hi there! I am Patrícia
from Hungary. I spent five memorable days in Croatia with the Comenius project
between 9th and 13th in May, 2013. We stayed in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia,
at the Chill Out hostel. The hostel was modern and comfortable, perfect for
young people. The walls of the hostel were decorated with quotations and words
of wisdom which make people think about the meaning and the essence of life.
That was my favourite thing about the hostel.
We visited a lot of interesting historical places. We met a lot of people. Everybody was very nice and friendly with us. The presentations were about the history of those countries where the students came from. Our presentation went well although we were very nervous before it.
I enjoyed the trip very much, but my favourite day was the 4th one when we went to the Plitvice- Lakes. The place was absolutely amazing. I am not suprised that it is the part of the Word Heritage. I do not think I exaggarate when I say that it is the most beautiful place I have ever been before. We took a boat trip on one of the lakes. People from other boats kept waving at us like old friends. We also walked around huge waterfalls. We were so close to them that we got wet. Firstly, it was a bit frightening because we were surrounded by high mountains. I felt that we were so tiny compared to the nature around us. I took a lot of photos, but somehow they do not give me back the real beauty of the place, but at least they will make me remember those places. I have never been to Croatia before, and if I have a chance to go back, I will definitely visit the lakes again.
Memories of Zagreb by Dániel Pataki
I am Dániel Pataki, an 18-year-old
Hungarian student. I spent five days in Croatia with the help of Comenius
project. After we travelled 10 hours by train to Zagreb, we arrived at the Chill
Out Hostel at around 9 o’clock in the evening.
Our accommodation was well-equipped and
very colourful. In my opinion, this hostel was a perfect place for the students
to stay because everybody was at one place so we could get to know each.
We could see some beautiful places, for
example, the Plitivice-lakes. Although the trip to this national park was
tiring, everybody had fun, and we laughed a lot. This rotation was interesting,
and I found the meeting very useful.
Memories of Zagreb by Róbert Ladányi
I'm
Robert, a 17-year-old guy from Hungary. I liked this journey to Croatia very
much because it was very exciting, and I could learn a lot of interesting things about the
history of Croatia and other countries, too. I had to realize that there are so
many similarities in the history of our countries.
My
favourite program was when we spent an afternoon at the Plitvice- lakes. It is
the most amazing place I have ever been in my life. It was impressive and
frightening to walk so close to the waterfalls.
I’m very grateful for this program. It was
very useful because I could improve my English language skills, and I could
visit a beautiful country, Croatia. I hope that my new Comenius friends enjoyed
the trip as much as I did.
Memoeries of Croatia by Vivien Juhász
Hi everybody!
I’m Vivi from Hungary, and I had the opportunity to spend
five fantastic days in Zagreb, Croatia.
After 10-hour travelling by train to
Zagreb, we arrived at our accommodation. The
hostel was great, and I liked the quotations on the walls very much. On the
second day we went to the school where we showed our presentations. Then we had
a delicious lunch in a restaurant, and we took part in a sightseeing.
In the evening we chilled out with
other Comenius students, and we had a lot of fun. On Saturday we were in
Vukovar where there’s a hospital which was bombarded by the Serbians in 1991.
This visit was very interesting and frightening at the same time.
I think Sunday was the best. We visited
the Plitvice-Lakes National Park, and I had never seen such
beautiful things as the waterfalls there. I took a lot of pictures, and I
showed them to every relatives and friends of mine in Hungary. This journey was one of my best experiences
in my life, and I will remember it forever.
